HANDORA

HANDMADE MARKETPLACE

About Handora

A home for things made by hand.

Handora is a marketplace built around a simple belief — that things made carefully, by one person, in one place, are worth more than the same thing made cheaply by a hundred. We’re not trying to be the biggest store on the internet. We’re trying to be the one where every piece has a story, and every maker has a face.

Why we exist

Big marketplaces optimize for volume. Algorithms reward the cheapest, the fastest, the most generic. The independent maker — the potter throwing mugs in a garage studio, the seamstress hand-embroidering one shirt at a time — gets buried.

We built Handora the other way around. Every shop is run by the person doing the work. Listings tell you who made it, where, with what materials, and how long it takes. The price reflects the human hours behind it. The platform takes 8% — enough to keep the lights on, not enough to crowd the maker off their own product page.

What you’ll find

Original paintings, drawings, pottery, jewelry, hand-poured candles, carved wood, crocheted goods, hand-sewn clothing, resin pieces, custom signs, and a steady drip of categories as new makers arrive. Every piece is either one-of-a-kind or made in small batches. If something is customizable, you can talk to the maker before you buy.

How it works

You browse. You find something that catches you. You buy it directly from the person who made it. Payment is handled by Stripe, your card details never touch our servers, and funds land in the maker’s account once you confirm delivery. If something arrives broken or wrong, you can ask for a refund right from your order page — the maker decides, we keep the conversation honest.

If you make things

We’re always looking for new makers. There’s no application gate — open a shop, list your first piece, and connect a Stripe account for payouts. Our 8% platform fee covers payment processing, hosting, and fraud protection. You keep 92%, and 100% of any shipping you charge.
